Bite the Suspect

Feeling kind of bummed out and lazy today, so I didn't do any makeup until, you know, about thirty minutes ago.  But it's bright and stuff, so it's awesurrrrm!

CH-CH-CHECK IT OUT!

I am very special 'cuz there's only one of me!

Lid:  AL Suspect Device

Crease/veething:  Fyr Bite Me ( matte red that leans slightly orange, has a few tiny glitters/sparkle in thurr)

Liner/lowerlashline:  ES Zombie, the sexiest zombie of them all

Mascara:  Maybelline Colossal Volume---or should I say COLOSSAL POOP?  For some reason my bottle was thoughtfully pre-dried to a slightly clumpy/flakey consistency.  Awesome.

Sidenote:  Evil Shades has really been growing on me.  When I first received my eyeshadows I was totally convinced that I would never order again because the loose product caught in the threads of the jar drove me nuts.  I don't really care anymore---the shadows and lipcolors that this woman produces make me weak with longing.  After my last ever (sniffle) Aromaleigh order arrives, I will most likely order from ES and it will be sweet, indeed.  So, so sweet.

BO-NASU:  I'll leave this little number for you to mull over while trying to fall asleep.

Nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Backlogged

AND LURVING IT.  This is a lie, of course; I'd much rather be caught up on everything, but it is what it is.

First, I has some makeups to show yooooou....

Used the greens + highlight from the Kat Von D Gypsy palette and the cream color from Sleek Curious palette.

Lulz, I deleted the other pictures without thinking.  This is Frankie from the Gypsy palette with a smidge of gold liner on the bottom and some good ol' TANF French Vanilla for highlight.

Errthing but the highlight is from the Sleek Curious palette.  The outer corner color (the golden-black) sucks balls:  lots of powdery fallout, poor payoff, hard to blend, ick.  I love all the blues in the palette, though.  Highlight is TANF French Vanilla, as usual.  Why does such a perfect color come from a company I'm not totally comfortable with?  Nuñez?  NUUUÑÑÑEEZZZ!!!

Coming soon:  comments on EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss, which I bought at Target while desperately searching for a shaving substance that won't irritate my legskins.

EDIT:  I've never really noticed how uneven my skin looks in full-face photos!  I'm pasty white with some sort of orange-yellow splotches on my forehead and around my mouth.  What is this business?

Things I will be purchasink in the near future

I keep seeing gorgeous things that I want, then promptly forget what I was lusting after once I close my browser.

To prevent this awful tragedy I'mma compile a leeeeest of my DO WANTs.

Silk Naturals:  Bone, Danny, Poly, Sizzle, eyelash serum

Sassy Minerals:  Perfectionist, Quirky, Slap Happy, Jolt, Perplexed, Silk Sheets, Trust Me

Avon:  MagiX face perfector

Fyrinnae:  everything ever

Evil Shades:  probably the red and orange lipsticks

Blue like the ocean

and just as big.  Frig, I remember the episode where she had a baby.  I never thought that woman/thing/creature would be capable of reproduction

So somebody dared me to do the Mimi.  Does anyone remember this face?

I never noticed the drawn eyelashes on the bottom.  And those little roses in her hair?  It's enough to make you poop yer pants... not that I'd ever do that.

I didn't have the huevos to do both eyes.  I actually washed it off right after taking the photos.  If I ever (for some strange reason) have to recreate this monstrosity, I'll bring the blue higher on the browbone and use as many mattes as I can find, to give it an authentic feel.

Look what you've started, woman.  Are you ashamed of yourself yet?

***Interesting tidbit:  the actress who portrayed Mimi is actually a rather pleasant-looking woman.  She's also been promoting child literacy through her MrsP websitethingy.

Friday's look:

Oh we're gonna brush our teeth!

Lid:  TSS Roaring Metaphor

Liner:  UD 24/7 Corrupt (smudged on top lashline)

Mascara:  Smexy Curves, baybee

Today's for realsies look:

I tried to keep with the blue theme a little bit.  The blending is a little squiffy from the Pixie Epoxy, but it's pretty subtle in person thanks to the slightly shimmery/sparkly colors used.  I love the shimmer in Strip Poker; I initially expected the PE to darken the color, but it's actually rather subtle, and the coppery highlight makes it much easier to wear, especially for warm-skinned peeps.

Lid:  Fyr Strip Poker (outer 2/3) and Platinum (inner half, slightly overlapping Strip Poker)

Highlight:  theallnaturalface French Vanilla

Mascara:  Rimmel Volume Flash (why do I still have this?  it's so clumptacular)

Sealed with a Poisoned Zombie Kiss

I was in such a rush this morning that I didn't get a good picture of my makeup while it was still fresh.  Any skin makeup worn during the day typically melts right off by the time I head home, but whatevah.

See how smudgy that green is?

That's hot.

Literally---the high here was 94F, with humidity well over 60%.  I'm pretty sure parts of the city were in the upper nineties in the early afternoon.

Lid:  SN SWAK (Sealed With a Kiss)

Upper lashline:  Evil Shades (ES) Zombie

Lower lashline:  AL Poison Ivy

Highlight:  the usual

Mascara:  Rimmel Smexy Curves

This heat has made makeup pretty difficult.  I don't like the feeling of makeup when I'm working because of how much heat I'm dealing with right now, so I mostly keep things light and lazy for weekdays---hence the somewhat boring daily looks.  I try to save my colorful stuff for weekends, which is a little tricky because I go to religious services on Saturday afternoons.  How do you make bright colors church friendly?  Idk, man.  I just dk.

The Tapir's Looking Glass

I love blue shadows.  Blue is one of my absolute favorite colors.  Unfortunately I almost always feel like Mimi when I try to wear blue on its own, so I try to keep it as an accent (under the lower lashline) or mix it with more flattering colors (pink, peach, green, purple).

Today I mixed it with burgundy-purple and sheer white for a trip to the grocery store.  The manfriend's cousin, as well as that dude's pregnant wife, are coming over tomorrow night for dinner, and I'm planning on making chicken teriyaki with four-layer dessert (recipe and photos will be posted on my foodblog tonight).

Super secret confession:  it was so hot and gross today, and I was feeling so lazy, that I decided to skip skin makeup.  I have the teeniest bit of concealer on my chin, and a little above my mouf, but that's it.  Oh noooooes!

Upper lashline:  Fyr Tapir

Outer lid/crease:  Fyr Looking Glass

Highlight/rest o' the lid:  SN Fire

Lower lashline:  UD 24/7 in Corrupt and Yeyo

Mascara:  Rimmel Volume Flash (it's getting old and dried up; I'm waiting on a sale at Wag's so I can pick up a new tube)

I'm so happy today, you people.  I would say that the sky is the limit but there is no limit to my joy UP AND AWAAAAAAAAY

Lions playing Strip Poker in faraway Shangri-La

I went to a dollar-store today to grab a new candle, a bucket and some cleaning supplies.  Most of those candles smelt like monkeyarse, but there was a peach-mango one that made me pretty happy.  Some of the people creeped me out, though, especially the guy lurking at the entrance to the store.  He stood around while I checked out, then left the store right after I did, close enough to touch me if he wanted.  Thankfully he left me alone when I received a phone call.  ICKKCHHCHCKCURGH

Unfortunately, the fourth picture wouldn't upload.  I'll try to get in on later tonight.

Highlight/inner corner:  theallnaturalface French Vanilla

Derp-a-derp

This last week has been heystra busy---started a new internship (making cereal, sucka), moved into an apartment, bought real furniture and set it up, etc.---and I haven't actually worn much makeup to work aside from mascara.  Apparently I'm not allowed to wear nail polish ever because it's a food processing plant, and if (somehow) the polish chips and gets in the cereal it could (maybe) pose a (possible) health problem.

Makeups from Sunday and Monday!
