October 31st: Agent Orange Eclipsed by Honey Peach's Vanity

Her dusty orange skin reflected the spotlight in shades of rose and coral. As the heavy music rolled across the stage in pulsing waves of dark bass and riotous synth drums she twitched her hips in a way that seemed both absolutely unintentional and innocently provocative, the motion becoming more pronounced and fluid with the rising voices of the lecherous audience. Honey Peach was a goddess, a radiant beam of culture and beauty among the countless crudely-formed prostitutes and strippers who'd writhed on the dirty, oily surface of the stage. Agent Orange wasn't the brightest bot but she knew the rising levels desire and lust and want would fill the room until the thin membrane of control popped and sent droplets of violence spilling across the walls. Then again, that might have been the personality implant. You don't just absorb the memories and intellect of a perverted male detective without picking up a few things on humanoid behavior.

......

Happy Halloween and other late-October festivities! I decided to wear something orange today (naturally) and also play with an old idea I had way back when. I feel like this is a bit more polished than the older interpretation, and the lid is much darker even though it's the exact same shadow. Unfortunately there's already a tiny bit of creasing because I am out of eyeshadow primer and had to use a bit of the Monistat Chafing Gel as an emergency primer-ish thing.

Lid: SM Eclipse
Broadly in the crease: Aromaleigh agentorange topped with TANF Honey Peach
Outer vee-crease region: the two bronzey-gold shades in the ELF Nymph Dreams quad
Highlight: light gold from ELF quad mixed with a tiny bit of Honey Peach
Inner corner: the lightest shimmery shade from the WnW Vanity palette

Living Deadgirl

I actually had a decent costume this year! The skullbits were done with the help of Petrilude's fabulous skull mask tutorial.

I'll list all the products used in a jumbled list:
Revlon ColorStay oily skin foundation in Buff
NYX JEP in Milk for the white
Milani Liquif'Eye in black for shadows
WnW Greed palette (matte black, matte peach)
WnW Vanity palette (matte brown, matte tan, matte cream)
Palladio Eye Ink in black
Napoleon Perdis Party Set palette (matte red-violet)
random Aziza II palette (matte brown)
Maybelline Full n Soft mascara
WnW lipsticks in 509A (bright cherry red) and 907B (Black Cherry, a dark burgundy)
Revlon Super Lustrous lip gloss in Peach Petal (dead lips!)
NYC eyeliner pencil in Sable (finally, a brown that matches my brows and doesn't turn red)

I ended up combing the bangs/fringe straight down to make it look a bit more pinup-y.

Mr. Mango was a sexy Steve Irwin/park ranger combo because he wanted to get in on the whole "sexy costume" thing. I wish you could see his shorts because they were super tight and showing a LOT of leg, and that boy has some nice legs.

I just included this picture so you could see the skirt. I freaking love that thing; it's so stretchy and comfortable, and it was way cheaps. $15 at Charlotte Russe!
The bunny-girl has AMAZING shoes. I want them.

Glitterbrows and the Charismatic Stripper

Hot dang, I haven't worn makeup---REAL makeup, anyway---for a long time! The past few weeks have been devoted to job interviews and class presentations so I've tried to look polished and 'professional' in an attempt to impress people I don't really care about. That sounds so negative, but it's not meant that way; it just feels weird to focus on adjusting my appearance to suit others instead of myself, but I realize that sometimes it's necessary.
The most exciting thing on my face was red lipstick with smudged taupe eyeshadow, and by 'smudged' I mean that I applied it like a smokey eye but it didn't LOOK smokey because it's not, ya know, dark. I think this was last Monday.

Eyeshadow: Wet'n'Wild Nutty everywhere
Liner: black Milani LiquifEye applied with a small liner brush
Brows: NYX Candy glitter liner in Lilac, applied with a tiny concealer brush
Lips: UD Ozone lip pencil, Wet'n'Wild Cherry Bomb lipstick (the matte stuff with the weirdly shaped bullet) and glossy lip balm

Last night I thought I'd try something different to warm myself up for free time (and Halloween) so I slapped some colors on top of the makeup I wore all day. Delicious.
Obviously my eyebrows need a little TLC, both in the grooming and filling in departments. It's entirely too difficult to find a greyed-brown eyebrow pencil or powder in this part of the US; everything leans reddish-henna.

My day time makeup was this...
Lid: an all-over wash of SN Fire
Liner: UD 24/7 pencil in Binge

and I topped it off with this...
Crease/outer vee/liner: NYX Atlantic
Lower lashline: NYX Rust
So much mascara: Maybelline Full'n'Soft

Today I celebrated my makeup freedom by slapping on my favorite blue eyeshadow. I LOVE EET. The copper-pink sparkles make it so much more wearable than a plain steel-blue shadow.

Lid/lower lashline: Fyrinnae Strip Poker
Crease: L'Oreal HiP Charisma duo---the mauvey-pink all over the crease and the matte purple concentrated on the outer corner
Liner: UD 24/7 pencils in Bourbon(?) and Rockstar, both upper and lower lashline

Smoking Guns and Gambling Nuns

Wouldn't that be the best Western EVER??

Lid and lower lashline: Fyrinnae Strip Poker (next time I'll use PE so I don't lose the sparkles)
Crease: mysterious Aziza II eyeshadow
Highlight and inner corner: SN Fire

Maybe someday I'll photograph the Aziza palette. I've had that thing since I was 14 or 15, which makes it old. How old? OLD AS BALLS.

Lid/lower lashline: ES Acolyte, possibly over Pixie Epoxy
Inner corner: a shitty blend of NYX Kiwi and Yellow (NOT Yellow Funk)

I love how Acolyte looks as a smokey eye. The only disappointment with this look is how shitty the NYX shadows were. I'd forgotten that I had those two, apparently for a good reason. Kiwi is supposed to be a beautifully pigmented lime green shimmer, and it's gorgeous in the pan. Yellow is a standard matte yellow GEE I HAD NO IDEA. Together they form... a disgusting muddy-bruise color.

Delicious.

I have to be honest, I felt pretty awesome in this makeup. I've never had much luck with the whole "smokey eye" thing before, but I think it was because I usually tried to use straight black colors and over-blended the crease/extended the color too far up toward the browbone. Lessons learned, my friends.
