Is it bad that I'm too lazy to do eyeliner most days?  I mean, it usually looks nice and adds some definition, but because of how hooded my lids are the liner can cover up most of the color that's visible when my eyes are open.  This is lame, and I would rather avoid it unless the look is all about the liner, you know?  I know you know, you're awesome like that.

  1. Noooo clue how you do it without liner. I leave off liner, my face looks puffy, bloated, undefined. I would marry my Buxom Lashliner if i could. Soooo pretty, easy to apply subtly(when I'm not being idiotic about applying makeup when my hands are shaking), and it makes my lashes less fragile! What brush, or liner do you use? Do you use a liquid or a pencil? Those are usually harder to apply nicely when its NOT all about the liner. I like a nice gel that i can tap in AT the lashline, and smudge just a wee bit!

All that said, that teal REALLY sets off your eyes. Between the contour and the color, they look huge, and intense, and kind of make me think of burying myself in the garden. Or maybe the burying myself bit is just more my preparations for a day of loudness, annoying people, and more birthday wishes than I'm comfy accepting. Ignore me.

  2. I usually do pencil liner, and my liner skills in general are painfully kindergartenesque. I might as well use a jumbo Sharpie, you know? Practice would probably help, but I'd hate to practice and wear lame eyeliner out and about.

Burying yourself in a garden? As romantic and poetic as that may be, plz don't--I'd miss your blog and living vicariously through your makeup. And sometimes, birthdays suck balls because of all that attention. Everything will be okay.

  3. Both looks are gorgeous! I especially love the pink and green combo! It's a favorite of mine. Lollipop pop looks so nice on you! On me the blue duochrome effect is really strong so it's not really an every day color for me hehehhe. But trickster is? Which is really weird! :)

  4. I feel exactly the same as you about liner, if I use it in my daily looks it legit looks like Im just wearing black eyeshadow on the lid, because of my whorey droopey hooded lids + lack of lid space.

And I've seen some people who use it every day and it kind of detracts from how pretty their eyeshadow look might be :(

Dude, your first look is SO cutesy and girly ^___^ I want to steal it

  5. My experience with pencils is that they usually ALWAYS Handle like a jumbo sharpie, no matter how often you sharpen them, or how carefully you try to apply them. I never use them on anything but lower waterline! it's either gel, or liquid, depending on the look. Liquid can very easily hit the baseball-player-sun-smudges look though, if you rush when applying it. So I usually prefer a nice gel for daytime looks.

I'm happy yesterday is over. By the end of it, I was ready to bite the next person to talk to me. Or REALLY bury myself in the garden, with the cute wiggly earthworms, and hiding bullfrogs, and bitty tree frogs. I love incoherent animals. Hope you had a good holiday!

  6. I think the blue-ness of Trickster is less prominent than in Lollipop-pop, and it is indeed a fabulous color.

  7. Steal away, madame! Pink and green are incredible together, in all forms---I bet a deep magenta would be lovely with a hot lime OMNOMNOM

  8. Apparently WP won't let me reply directly to your newest comment, so I must do like-a-so.
I'll have to try liquid liner because gel liners dry too quickly in the jar. I guess I don't use them enough.

Those garden companions sound pretty awesome, actually. As long as you don't run into any centi/millipedes, I might follow suit.

Holiday---it was okay, nothing very exciting. I stayed home and watched Psych, which was pretty coo'.

  9. Try Buxom Lashliner-it's a LOT creamier than the other gel formula's I've played with. For reference, I bought a container of it the same day I bought an Urban Decay Ink for Eyes gel liner. The UD liner has been dry to the point of unworkable for almost 6 months now. The Buxom Lashliner i bought at the same time has gotten a bit less creamy, but I'm STILL using it. I've played with MAC Fluidline, but not actually purchased it, to say how fast THAT dried out. My liquid liners are ALWAYS dry and dead within a few months though. So I'd say I've more than gotten my use out of the product.

I haven't noticed any centipedes. Just way too many spiders. I'm embarrassingly arachnophobic. One of these days, though, I have to find a reason to post the pic of the bitty frogs I keep catching though. We mostly have HUGE bullfrogs, except for this one breed of teeny green tree frogs with gold freckles. The man took a picture of one on my hand, and the whole thing is only marginally bigger than my ferociously bitten thumb nail.
